There is a Hinkley Tourism Business Seminar at 10.15am on Thursday 28 January at the West Somerset Council Offices, Williton.
With the decision to start building at Hinkley Point C imminent, local tourism providers are being invited to attend a seminar to find out more about the plans of the Hinkley Tourism Action Partnership to manage and attract visitors during the coming years.
The event on Thursday 28 January 2016 in Williton will focus on  plans for tackling perception and raising the profile of the area, visitor travel management, attracting new customers, Hinkley workers’ needs and business support.  Many of these issues were raised by businesses and organisations at the workshop we held in June 2014. This event will now provide an update on where plans are, and seek opinions on future activities.
West Somerset Council and Sedgemoor District Council are organising this event jointly and welcome all businesses and organisations with a stake in tourism. Refreshments will be served from 10.15am for a 10.30am start and the event will end at 1pm with a light lunch then being served.
